In the hustle-bustle of life, people are looking for ways to stay in touch with friends, business associates, loved ones, etc, even if it’s just once a year. So let’s kick the Christmas season off right; join me for THE One and Only I Wish for Simplicity Christmas Card Affair! Saturday, November 15, 2008–please note the new date–10:00 am – 2:00 PM, @ The Node, 11723 Firestone Blvd., Norwalk, CA 90650. A note about the class time: I reserved the Banquet Room at the Node with plenty of time cushion for the class. If you cannot make it at 10:00 AM, I still encourage you to come when you can… especially if you are a quick stamper. I suggest that you arrive no later than 12:00 pm (with a full tummy), however, to ensure you have enough time to complete your projects. Also, please be sure to let me know if you plan to arrive later!
By the end of the class you and your friends will have completed your holiday cards, a scrapbook page for the memories and a gift bag to carry it all home in. How simple is that? We’ll use the I Wish Simply Scrappin’ Kit, the Handmade Holiday Simply Sent Card Elements Kit or a “IMIM” (I Made It Myself) Kit to create quick, yet unique, Christmas cards for the special people on your 2008 card list.
Class fee is $10.00 PLUS the cost of materials (see details below). I call this my I Wish for Simplicity Set because it is extremely easy to use the Simply Scrappin’ kits or Simply Sent Card Elements kits to make handmade and personal greeting cards for the holidays in a matter of hours, not days.
Materials cost for the I Wish Simply Scrappin’ Card Class Kit, (completed projects include 15 – 3″ x 6″ cards, 15 envelopes, a scrapbook page and a gift bag) $35.00; 30 cards, 30 envelopes, two bags and two scrapbook pages $60. UPDATE: Due to back orders, this kit will not be available in time for the class. Sorry!
Materials cost for the Handmade Holiday Simply Sent Card Elements -Card Class Kit (completed projects include 18 4 ¼” x 5 ½” cards, 18 envelopes, one 6” x 6” scrapbook page and a coordinating gift bag) $37.
Materials cost for the I Made It Myself Christmas Card Class Kit (completed projects include 15 – 3″ x 6″ cards, 15 envelopes, a scrapbook page and a gift bag) $25.
Bring Your Own Kit: If you have supplies at home that you’d like to use, please e-mail me for the shopping/packing list to ensure you have everything you need to create your Christmas Card Masterpieces. You must bring your own tools (paper cutter) and consumables such as designer paper, card stock, envelopes, ribbon, adhesive, etc. You will be able to use the stamp sets and inks that are made available at the class for no extra charge.
To register for the class, please RSVP by sending me an email (planetkreative@gmail.com) and include the following information for each guest. I must receive your payment for the materials IN ADVANCE (by November 9, 2008) in order to ensure your materials will arrive in time for the class … the earlier the better :-).
